CaliforniaFIRST Program

CaliforniaFIRST allows property owners to finance energy-efficiency retrofits and renewable energy projects on homes and businesses. Financing is referred to as Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) loans. Eligibility is based on the value of the property and the current status of property tax payments, not on persona credit. A State-mandated “loading order” gives priority to energy-efficiency improvements before renewable energy improvements become eligible.
